Traders already use this word. A stag is someone who hunts a new listing the day it goes live, in and out before the dust settles. It also happens to be the king of the forest, crowned in antlers. Same word, two worlds. We gave it a body.
The wood comes straight from Robinhood's own lore. The marketplace is named for the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, and Sherwood is where the King kept his deer. We built the herd on Robinhood Chain, so the stags live in their wood. Stag plus wood. That's the name.
None of this is a stretch. Robinhood really did name itself after the Sherwood outlaw, markets for the many and all that. When they built a media company in 2024, they called it Sherwood News. When they built a blockchain, they made Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum L2 for tokenized markets. The forest theme isn't ours. It's theirs. We just put deer in it.
In the legend, the deer of Sherwood belonged to the King, and hunting one was death. Robin Hood hunted them anyway and fed the poor. Stagwood releases 5,000 of the King's deer onto the chain named for the man who stole them. Wood is Sherwood. Sherwood is Robinhood. The stags belong to whoever holds them.

Where finance meets nature meets blockchain. The King's deer, now the people's.
Ask the chain for a stag and it draws one, live, from a seed it rolled itself. There's no image server behind this, no IPFS folder that can rot. Ten coats, over a hundred traits, five thousand stags, all painted by the contract at the moment you look.
And the rack grows while you hold. No gas, no staking, no button to press. Just time. Sell, and it sheds. We think the rarest thing in this collection is patience.
A destiny rolls with every rebirth. Broken never heals. Stags shed by three owners wear an ear notch forever; seven owners, two. Paper hands leave scars you cannot reroll.
The coin IS the herd. Hold 200,000 $STAG, one stag's worth, and a stag walks out of the bank to you, rolled fresh the moment it arrives. Hold ten stags' worth, ten walk out. Fall below a stag's worth and your newest stag goes back for whoever comes next. That's the entire user manual.
The coin and the engine. The herd logic lives inside the token transfer itself, so stags move with the coin through any pool, any wallet, any market.
The window onto the herd. Marketplaces and wallets see a clean NFT collection; the stags themselves only ever move with the coin.
Draws every stag from its seed at view time, entirely on chain. Frozen forever at launch. Nobody can redraw the herd, including us.
Most coins rent their pool. Ours owns it. The Stagwood pool carries a custom Uniswap V4 hook that holds 100% of the herd's liquidity in a single permanent position. We didn't lock it with a timer or send it to a burn address. We wrote the contract with no code path that can remove liquidity at all. You can read that yourself in the verified source; the function simply doesn't exist.
V4 is also what lets the market share the herd's clock. Hooks can set the trading fee per swap, so ours asks one question before every trade: is it rut week? Seven weeks out of eight the pool fee is 2%. Then the racks glow and it halves to 1% for a week. No admin can change it, because there's no admin. It's the same timestamp math the art uses, byte for byte.
Where that fee goes: sells pay their fee in $STAG, and every bit of it compounds into the Floor. Buys pay their fee in ETH, and that side splits in half, one half compounding into the Floor and one half funding the project. The token itself has no tax of any kind, and the contract can never sell a coin to pay us.
Every swap through the pool pays the fee: 2% in the quiet weeks, 1% during the rut.
Fees flow to the one position in the pool, the Forest Floor, owned by the hook itself.
A permissionless graze call folds the accrued fees back in as more permanent liquidity.
Backing under every stag only grows. Nobody can take it out. Not even us. Especially not us.
That's the first market with a biological clock, and a floor that only grows. Phase two adds the StagVault to the same V4 pool, so the herd itself can make the market without a single rack shedding.
Everything is on chain. If this website disappears, the herd does not notice.
Those two contracts are already deployed and verified on Robinhood Chain. We published them before launch on purpose, so you can read the code before there is anything to buy. Nothing is tradable yet. The pool has not been seeded, so any $STAG market you find right now is not ours. When we seed, this page turns live and the seeding transaction gets linked here as the proof.
Every single coin starts in the pool. We keep nothing, there's no presale, and the contract can't mint, pause, or tax. Don't take our word for any of that: every claim is enforced by code you can read. The verified source is already up on Blockscout, linked in the contracts section below, and the mint, pause and tax functions you'd need to worry about simply aren't in it. If you want stags, you buy them at market like everyone else, including us.
The art, the clocks, the destinies, the notches, the floor. All of it lives on chain, none of it lives on our servers, and every claim on this page is checkable against verified source code. Read the contracts below or the full documentation.
The token admin can only mark market contracts exempt from holding stags, and renounce. It cannot touch balances, supply, art or clocks. It exists so the StagVault can be wired in phase two, then it is gone.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum L2. Bridge ETH from mainnet or Arbitrum with the official bridge, add network id 4663 to your wallet, and swap ETH for $STAG on any DEX front end that speaks Uniswap V4. Your stags appear in your wallet on their own.
Moving many stags' worth of coins at once moves many stags at once, and each one costs gas. Very large buys or sells are best split into batches. Marketplaces show the herd through StagHerd; the stags themselves only ever move with the coin.
